DAR: of possible interest to the females of the family - a direct ancestral link exists from George's mother Jane Baker (1814 - 1896) to Andrew Baker (1756 - 1781) an American patriot who was killed during the Revolutionary war in the Battle of Groton Heights (Conn.)
The continued validity of the link is known because Grandmother Vida Young Heisig was an active member of the Beaumont chapter of the Daughter's of the American Revolution (DAR).
